Welcome to BikeFit Surrey. We offer fun, social and relaxed led cycle rides of between one to two hours around SE Surrey, using a combination of quiet roads and bridlepaths. Fields, woodland and hidden tracks form a large part of our routes.
Anyone and everyone looking to start cycling regularly or cycle in company is welcome at BikeFit rides. Busy Mums (or Dads!) looking to get back into shape and de-stress at the same time, retired people who would like to join in a welcoming and enjoyable activity that offers positive fitness benefits, or anybody who fancies coming along to try cycling in a group. We mostly ride at 'conversational' or 'leisurely' pace, although some routes are harder than others.
Easy Easy+ and Steady
These rides are about building confidence and ability. They largely on quiet roads or traffic free paths, working at the pace of the slowest. Average length 1-1.5 hours approx.
We are not competitive and exist to encourage those who think they may be too unfit to ride in a group or are just looking for some friendly company on shortish rides. We like to take our time, breathe in the fragrant country air and drink in all the lovely views and vistas of our little piece of English heaven.... not to mention the odd cup of tea and slice of cake on occasion. Or a pint, it has been mentioned!

To join our Tuesday group, we ask that you can ride for one hour on a flattish route without too much trouble before coming along.
Are you more experienced but would like some company? Do you like the challenge of the odd hill or two? (Although we always wait at the top for those taking a slower pace/walking!) Are you ready to push yourself a little to increase your fitness? Are you happy to break into the occasional sweat? Steady routes are probably best for you.
Steady Steady+ Well and Well+
Starting from in and around the Redhill, Reigate & Dorking areas
These rides are largely on bridlepaths, quiet roads or traffic free paths, working at the pace of the slowest with some hills, and slightly rougher sections. Average length 1.5 to 2 hours approx, usually followed by a pub lunch or snack which can take it up to 2.5 to 3 hours.
If you've been out with us a few times and are ready to broaden your cycling horizons and take on a bit more of a challenge, trying a couple of steeper hills perhaps, or a few more of them, but still at a pace you'll be comfortable with, try our Well routes.
Our club couldn't exist without our riders and their help. Many riders have different roles (eg. ride leaders, commitee members, social secretary, webmaster, etc) helping to run the club efficiently and making it a fun experience for everyone.
We are always grateful for any helping hand especially leading rides. We encourage every rider to consider becoming a leader if they so wish and will always support them. Leading rides can also be shared with a another person on the ride.
